The trailhead is on Poki

War Master is hosted on poki.com, a separate site run by Poki. The link opens the game's Poki page in a new tab; Morakrevikkai does not host or run it.

What happens on the route

You move your army with the arrow keys or WASD, or by pressing and dragging with the mouse. The aim is to defeat the enemies you meet and capture their flag, which wins the fight. Both control schemes do the same job, so you can choose whichever feels more natural; on a phone or tablet, dragging is the obvious choice.

Two kinds of currency drive progress. Silver unlocks new warriors, so it decides what your army is made of. Gold raises your rank. Both come from playing, so each fight feeds the next. The two currencies pull in slightly different directions, and balancing them is the main decision the game asks you to make between fights.

Poki files it under simulators and features it among idle games, with action, war, strategy and shooting as tags. In practice the loop is simple: fight, collect, strengthen the army, fight again. Because the goal of every fight is the same flag, it is easy to understand from the first battle what the game wants from you.

Notes for a first ascent

  • Pick one way of moving and stick with it for a while. Switching between keyboard and mouse mid-fight costs time.

  • Spend silver on new warriors early; a larger and more varied army makes the following fights easier. Which warriors you unlock shapes how the next fights go, so it is worth trying new ones as they appear.

  • Remember what wins: capturing the enemy flag. Chasing every enemy is not always the fastest way there. Keep the flag in mind when you choose where to move the army.

  • Keep an eye on gold as well. Rank is the second half of progress and is easy to forget while you focus on warriors.

Who takes this route

Players who like watching an army grow and prefer simple controls to complex menus. It suits both keyboard and touch players. Players who want a slower, thinking game against an opponent may prefer Master Chess.

Loose rock: what to weigh

  • The loop repeats a lot, which is the point for some players and a drawback for others. If you enjoy steady, incremental growth it is satisfying; if you want variety from fight to fight, it may wear thin.

  • Poki may show ads around the game. They come from Poki, not from this site.

  • Combat is the core of the game, so it is less suited to players who want something gentle.

Questions about War Master

How do I win a fight in War Master?

Silver unlocks new warriors; gold raises your rank. Both are collected by playing, so each fight helps the next one.

Can I play without a keyboard?

Yes. Besides the arrow keys and WASD, you can press and drag with the mouse, and Poki lists phone and tablet too.
