What happens on the route

The character runs forward on their own along three lanes. Your job is to change lanes, jump and slide so that vehicles and barriers pass you by, while picking up the gold that lies along the road. The further you get, the denser and faster the obstacles become, and a collision usually ends the run unless a Helmet is protecting you at that moment. Power-ups turn up during runs and are worth steering towards.

From time to time the run turns into a boss phase. Roy rides ahead on a truck and throws obstacles and bombs back at you. Chilli bombs can be knocked back at him, so this part asks you to watch what is coming rather than simply dodge everything.

Gold collected on runs goes into upgrading houses. Finishing a house unlocks a new character and a new world. There are 8 worlds, from Tom's House and Angela's House to Hank's island, Ginger's forest, Ben's adventure, Tom's snow ride, the Venetian canals and a Chinese dragon world, and 6 characters: Tom, Angela, Hank, Ginger, Ben and Becca. Skins can be bought with gold or diamonds.

Notes for a first ascent

  • Stay in the middle lane when you can. From there both side lanes are one move away, which gives you more room when a barrier appears late.

  • Decide between jump and slide by the shape of the obstacle, not by habit. Pressing the wrong one is the most common way an early run ends.

  • During the boss phase, look for chilli bombs: knocking them back is part of the phase, while the other things Roy throws are for dodging.

  • Spend gold on the house you are building rather than saving it without a plan; finishing a house is what opens the next character and world.

Who takes this route

Players who like short, repeatable runs and a clear long-term goal (the next house, the next world). It works well in a spare few minutes on a phone as well as on a keyboard. If you prefer calm games with no failure, Smash Room or Prismo Coloring in this register will fit better.
